The candidates must have strong research potential and must have obtained their Ph D degree between April 15, 2014 and June 15, 2019. The Fellowship's stipend is of R$ 4.100,00 per month (Brazilian reais, tax free). The Fellow will also have a grant to be used for participation in scientific events, under rules determined by the PPGM - UFRJ. The Fellowship duration is of up to 24 months, with an initial period of 12 months, followed by a second period of 12 months pending a positive evaluation, by the PPGM, of a report submitted by the Fellow detailing his scientific activities. Under extraordinary circunstances, the PPGM - UFRJ could grant a second and final 12-month extension, totaling 36 months.
The Fellow could be assigned a teaching load at the Undegraduate or Graduate level of not more than one subject (4 hs per week) per semester in his/her Supervisor's Department.

The Graduate Program in Mathematics at Instituto de Matemática from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - Brazil (PPGM - UFRJ) is seeking candidates for four PNPD Posdoctoral Fellowships, three of them starting between September 15, 2018 and November 15, 2018 and one between Dezember 1st, 2018 and February 1st, 2019.
