Título: On a (very) degenerate elliptic boundary-value problem

Resumo: Our BVP has several interpretations, among which the non-parametric minimal surfaces in negative curvature, or the Riemann problem for gas dynamics. An obvious necessary condition for existence is the convexity of the
domain D. We show here that it is also a sufficient condition; the key estimate involves the Hilbert distance in D!
